Bulk Seedream
Three ByteDance models, one batch

Pick the right
Seedream

ByteDance ships Seedream as three separate models, and they are not a simple version ladder. Seedream 4.5 holds subjects and spatial logic together, Seedream 5.0 Lite reasons in steps and can search online before it draws, and Seedream 5.0 Pro is the July 2026 flagship. Load one prompt list, choose which Seedream renders it, and take the whole grid back at once.

One per line — each line is a separate prompt.

Three Seedream models, three different jobs

Sending a brief to the wrong model costs you a whole batch. Here is what ByteDance and its Seed team actually claim for each Seedream, so the choice happens before you spend credits rather than after.

Seedream 4.5 — consistency and layout

Released in December 2025 through ByteDance's Volcano Engine. Its three stated advantages are pixel-level element extraction, precise response to long compound instructions, and spatial reconstruction that obeys physical rules. That makes Seedream 4.5 the steady choice for multi-image sets, poster composition and logo work, where one subject has to survive across every row of the batch.

Seedream 5.0 Lite — thinks, then draws

ByteDance Seed released it in February 2026 as a unified multimodal image generation model with deep thinking and online search. It works through a request in steps and can pull live information in before rendering, which suits visuals built on real facts. Seed also calls it a relatively small model whose structural stability, realism and aesthetics still have room to improve, while reporting an Elo score above Seedream 4.5.

Seedream 5.0 Pro — the July 2026 flagship

Seed and Volcano Engine frame this Seedream around advanced reasoning and professional production. It raises text-image alignment, structural coherence and visual polish, renders realistic lighting, materials and skin texture, turns dense data or long text into infographics, posters and UI prototypes, and takes prompts natively in more than ten languages.

All three Seedream models, line by line

The table below is generated from the same configuration the batch form reads, so the credits, resolution tiers, ratio count, reference-image ceiling and prompt length shown here are exactly what your run will use. Compare the three, then commit.

These values follow the platform configuration. If a model's pricing or limits change, this table changes with them.

Choose the model first, then fill the batch

A Seedream run has one decision that single-model pages do not: which of the three does the work. Everything after that is loading rows and confirming what it costs.

  1. 01

    Decide which Seedream runs

Start at the model chips rather than the prompt box. Take 4.5 when one subject or one layout has to hold across the set, 5.0 Lite when you are exploring cheaply or want the model to reason about a loose brief, 5.0 Pro when the output goes straight to a client. The rest of the form re-reads your choice, so the available resolution tiers shift with it.

  2. 02

Add the prompt rows, and any references

Type one prompt per line or upload a spreadsheet and let BulkImagen map each row to an image. Every Seedream on this page accepts reference images, so you can pin a product shot, a face or a colour palette and have the batch inherit it instead of re-describing the look in each row.

  3. 03

    Confirm the credits, then collect

The confirmation screen totals the spend before a single row starts. Watch the grid fill in, keep what works, and pull the selection down as one ZIP. A row that missed can be re-run on its own — or handed to a different Seedream without rebuilding the list.

Where Seedream earns the batch

ByteDance names advertising and marketing, e-commerce operations, film storyboarding, digital entertainment and education as the target scenarios. In practice those collapse into three kinds of run.

Ad and e-commerce operations

This is what Seedream 4.5 was tuned for: pixel-accurate element handling and poster composition held steady across a set. Feed it a spreadsheet of SKUs or campaign angles and the batch returns the same subject treated the same way, ready for listings and ad variants.

Explainers and information design

5.0 Lite reasons through a brief and can search before it draws; 5.0 Pro converts dense data and long text into infographics, posters and interface mockups. Between them, a batch of chart concepts, lesson visuals or launch one-pagers stops being an afternoon in a design tool.

Storyboards and product imagery

5.0 Pro's realistic light, materials and skin texture cover shots you would otherwise have to stage, and 4.5's spatial reconstruction keeps a scene coherent from angle to angle. Run the shot list as rows and edit down from a full board instead of one frame at a time.

Choosing and running Seedream

  • Start from what has to stay constant. If a subject, a layout or a physical scene must hold across the batch, take Seedream 4.5. If you are still exploring and want the cheapest way to see many directions, take 5.0 Lite. If the images are final deliverables that need realistic materials and reliable text-image alignment, take 5.0 Pro. You can switch between batches at no cost.
  • They are different sizes with different aims. 5.0 Lite is the fast, low-cost model that ByteDance Seed itself calls relatively small, built around step-by-step reasoning and online search. 5.0 Pro is the flagship released in July 2026, aimed at professional production: stronger structure, better text rendering, realistic surfaces and native prompting in more than ten languages.
  • Not one we can point at. The models confirmed and available here are Seedream 4.5, Seedream 5.0 Lite and Seedream 5.0 Pro. If you have seen an unsuffixed 5.0 mentioned elsewhere, treat it as unverified rather than as a fourth option waiting to appear on the form.
  • Seed reports a higher Elo score for 5.0 Lite than for 4.5, and it adds reasoning and online search that 4.5 does not have. It is not strictly better, though: Seed lists structural stability, realism and aesthetics as areas where the smaller model still trails, and third-party coverage found its search step inconsistent and its fine text rendering weaker. For layout-critical work, 4.5 is often the safer batch.
  • Text is one of the family's stronger areas relative to its own history. Reviewers describe Seedream 4.5's text as much improved over earlier versions while still imperfect, and Seed lists text rendering among 5.0 Pro's gains — though it also admits finer-grained text still has room to improve. For a batch full of headlines, render a small test set first and read every result.
  • Yes, all three models on this page accept them, and the specification table above lists the per-image ceiling. References are the practical way to keep a face, a product or a palette identical across dozens of rows without writing the same description into every prompt.
  • No, and that is the one difference worth checking before you build a large list. Each model exposes its own tier set, shown per model in the table above; the form only offers the tiers the selected Seedream actually supports, so an illegal combination cannot reach the queue.
  • Not in this workflow. Seed describes point, lasso and box selection, sketch guidance, colour and material replacement and layer separation for 5.0 Pro, but BulkImagen submits batches — prompts plus reference images — rather than an interactive canvas. Reference images and a rewritten prompt are how you steer a re-run.
  • Flux 2 Pro is the realism specialist on this platform and takes the deepest reference stack. Seedream is the stronger pick when the batch is about layout, dense information graphics, or Chinese and other non-English text going into the image, and 5.0 Pro's native multilingual prompting is a real advantage there. Many people run both and compare grids.
  • Yes. Point BulkImagen at a CSV or Excel file, tell it which column holds the prompt, and every row becomes one queued image. A product feed or a content calendar can drive a Seedream batch directly, with the full list reviewable on the confirmation screen before anything runs.
  • New accounts arrive with free credits, which is enough to run a real batch on more than one Seedream and see the difference for yourself. After that each image costs the credits shown for that model in the table above, and the total is always displayed before the run starts.

Put all three Seedream models to work

Bring a prompt list, decide whether the job wants 4.5's consistency, 5.0 Lite's reasoning or 5.0 Pro's finish, and let one batch render the lot. Keep what works, download it as a ZIP, and send the rest back through a different Seedream.
